Made exclusively from our Wilyabrup vineyard, the wine is hand crafted from start to finish and highlights the culmination of everything we have learnt since our first release in 1987.

    Description

    Nose: Rich deep fruit flavours – dark chocolate and vanilla sit alongside braised strawberries, mulberries and blueberries with star anise and cinnamon sitting in the background.

    Palate: Rich, inviting, full bodied wine. Heaps of deep dark flavours – earthy overtones of rhubarb, beetroot sit alongside the blue fruited core with fine cinnamon and hints of pepper on the finish. Tannins are fine and structural giving the wine a framework to age gracefully over oncoming years.

    Pairing: Fillet mignon and red wine jus with potato dauphinoise.

    Winemaking: Made exclusively from the best Estate grown Wilyabrup vines, the fruit is handpicked with individual vineyard lots fermented separately; with portions being barrel fermented or held on skins for extended maceration depending on their fruit characters. The wine was then matured in new and one year-old French oak barriques for 18 months before being blended, and bottled.
