2017 'Lady Douglas' Cabernet Sauvignon
Medium bodied, smooth and supple, with juicy mixed berries and cherry. Matured in french oak the fine tannins add length to the palate. Will reward with medium term cellaring.

"Attractive, ripe dark fruit with a wealth of blackberry and dark-cherry aromas. This has a very smooth, plush and intense feel to the palate with a rich array of ripe dark-fruit flavors, building to a thread of rich dark chocolate at the finish. Very plush, smooth and fluid. Drink or hold."
93/100 Nick Butler, The Real Review
"Profoundly purple colour, dense and opaque. Toasty French oak leads the bouquet - it\'s powerful and closed. Seriously flavour-packed, quality fruit is currently hamstrung by oak. Hard to know whether it\'s heavy-handed, or built for the longest of hauls. Time in the glass suggests this is a sensational wine, in the making."
93/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
"This comes from estate and grower fruit. It packs a lot of value and class into a bottle, and seems to have done so over past vintages. What a good fella vigneron Ed Tomlinson is too. Shapely, firm in tannin, succulent in feel too. It's got lots of cassis and dark berry fruits, touches of black olive and bay leaf. It's a complete package, the real deal, done superbly and feels undeniably classy, if not a touch generous. It's a very good wine right here."
The first members of the Tomlinson family arrived in Western Australia aboard the Lady Douglas on the 9th of July 1884. This wine recognises their voyage to a new life and celebrates my family's endeavours since. Edward Tomlinson Winemaker.
