Jeanette Tomlinson. I do a bit of everything from organising the hand harvesting of our grapes to selling the bottled wine to visitors at cellar door.

How long have you worked at Lenton Brae?
I’ve lived and worked here since 1990 when I moved down from Perth. I suspect I’ve worked every public holiday since then!

What do you enjoy about your job? (assuming you do of course!)
I really enjoy doing cellar sales. I'm proud of our wines and I love being able share them, especially with people who might not have heard of Lenton Brae. It is also great getting to know regular customers.

Do you have a favourite Lenton Brae wine?
In summer it would be Chardonnay, while in winter Cab Sauv.

What do you do when you’re not at Lenton Brae?
Visit my eight grandchildren who live in Sydney.

Within your role at Lenton Brae, what are you plans for the medium to long term?
To continue making visiting Lenton Brae a pleasurable experience.

Best (non-wine) attribute of the  Margaret River wine region?
The people!

Favourite destination?
My bed!

Best wine moment?
Christmas day 1996, with a glass of La Grande Dame 1990.

A Lenton Brae Chardonnay; elegant, persistent and with more than a few years ahead of it.
